BRIDGE MECHANICAL ISSUE RESULTING IN LIFT

BELLE CHASSE, LA. - The Belle Chasse Bridge and Tunnel Replacement Project is experiencing a current mechanical issue on the Belle Chasse Bridge, resulting in the bridge being stuck in the lifted position.

Consequently, motorists are unable to pass through northbound LA-23 on the Belle Chasse Bridge. Crews are on their way to resolve the issue. Please stay alert for forthcoming updates.
