Celebrating Our Student Award Winners | |
Did you know each year, $2 million in financial aid is granted to students from King’s?! Over $300,000 was awarded to 146 students as part of this year’s Student Awards Ceremony, held November 26, 2023. Congratulations to all our student award winners, we are so proud of your academic accomplishments!
"These awards have allowed me to be the person I aspired to be; to find time to be a good person to myself and others as well. Receiving these awards has alleviated financial stress, and I’ve been able to work less and spend more time taking care of myself and my relationships with others. It gives opportunities to students to be the person that’s best for themselves." Maili Walker, fourth-year Honors Double Major in Psychology and Child & Youth Studies.

Hannah Foster – Second-year Social Justice and Peace Studies (SJPS) student
Shyness in high school and facing the challenges of the pandemic during her time at Fanshawe College limited her involvement in extracurriculars. At King's, Hannah wanted to get involved in our community as much as possible.
Hannah is now a Soph, the Vice President of Fundraising for the SJPS Club, the Vice President of Events for the Pride Project, and President of Developing Communities Everywhere (DCE) at King’s Club.
Hannah joined the Pride Project because being a member of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community “is often frightening but also the most beautiful and accepting community I have ever been a part of.” She became a Soph “to be the person that someone can come to if they are struggling.”

Supporting St. Joe's Cafe
St. Joe’s Café is a long-time friend of the King’s community and they need our support more than ever. To address the needs of the growing food-insecure community in London, the Café has opened their doors seven days a week. They have asked King’s to fill eight positions on Saturdays from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. If you are able to volunteer for one or more Saturdays between now and January 27, 2024, please sign up at volunteersignup.org/R7873. (Just follow the instructions on the page. It only takes a few seconds.) Volunteer with friends or your department. To drop off baked goods or sign up to play music, please email Annette.
