Rolando Politi
We honor Italian-born Trash Worship Artist Rolando Polti for his four-decade-long contributions to Loisaida, dressing our neighborhood with gleaned materials, and ultimately shifting our perceptions of consumer culture and transforming our relationship to perceived waste through interactive art. We honor him for his contributions to sustainability through art.

Lee is a photographer/filmmaker based in the Lower East Side. He writes, "T
he soul of a city is manifested through its inhabitants: the newspaper sellers, subway riders, pavement pounders, and window shoppers. These seemingly banal routines and daily chores are what feed a city's energy and identity."
Soul of a City represents a collection of these everyday moments
In these photographs, Lee aimed to transform the ordinary into something more magical and highlight the calm within the chaos of the urban landscape.
