CCH is delighted to welcome our newest faculty member Dr. Ida Salusky! Dr. Salusky is a Research Associate Professor at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. She is a clinical-community psychologist and interdisciplinary researcher focused on increasing equity within healthcare and higher education settings. Her work broadly focuses on system level interventions to address issues of structural inequality and oppression. Dr. Salusky’s program of research has three prongs. Currently she 1) studies the science of community engaged research and best practices in developing community-academic partnerships; 2) examines educational access and equity for minoritized students in higher education settings; and 3) conducts research on immigrant mental health to improve systems of care for this population.

Dr. Salusky is passionate about applying research to real world problems and making social science accessible to the public. Outside of work, she enjoys nature, travel and time with family.
