DAAD Post-Doctoral Fellows at the School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) 2024/25

The Paul H. Nitze School for Advanced International Studies (SAIS) is pleased to announce the opportunity for outstanding scholars to conduct research in Washington, D.C., on “The United States, Europe, and World Order.” During the academic year 2024-2025 up to two post-doctoral fellowships will be awarded for a ten (10) month period from September 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025. Research and related activities will focus on “the roles of the United States and Germany at a crucial moment in world history.”

The German Studies Association (GSA), with support from DAAD, will hold its 48th Annual Conference in Atlanta, GA from September 26-29, 2024. The Program Committee cordially invites all GSA members to submit seminar proposals. All proposals must be submitted online by January 16, 2024.

International Alumni Workshop

Sustainable Food Cultures

The SUSTAINABLE FOOD CULTURES workshop funded by DAAD connects alumni of German institutions of higher education and/or research from diverse disciplines and countries in recognizing past achievements to explore foodways that serve a future-proof tomorrow. If you are an alumnus/alumna of a German institution of higher education and/research with an interest in food culture and sustainability, this program is for you!

New Episode of Coffee Connections!

The newest ep of the DAAD podcast Coffee Connections is now live! This week, host Hanni Geist spoke with 3 of our 2023-24 Young Ambassadors: Vicky, Hannah, and Grace. Every year, DAAD selects students from the US and Canada to share their Germany experience with their peers on their respective campuses. In August, DAAD invited the new Young Ambassadors for training in New York.
