SUPER BOWL

It was a beautiful fall day to play our GVFL Flag Football Super Bowl this past Saturday. There was a near sell out crowd at the new GVCO Community Center Complex to see the GWES Eagles take on the KDM Coyotes in the first game, followed by the Bulldogs of Charlestown taking playing the Sugartown Bobcats in the championship game.

Without their complete roster, the undermanned Eagles just couldn't keep up with the Coyotes in the opening game. Ultimately KDM wore down the GWES squad to come away with the victory.

In the championship game, we had a nail-biter. The game went back-n-forth, with several lead changes. With 5 minutes left in the game, the Bobcats Reid Arena escaped around end to give Sugartown the lead. But the Bulldogs came right back on the ensuing drive to take the lead for good. The Bobcats went for it on 4th and 1 with about a minute left and converted, giving them one final play to win the game. Russell Spangler made a tremendous pull of the flag as time ran out and the Bulldogs triumphed 32-27 to win the title.

Project Update

It's time for everyone in our Great Valley community to GIVE BACK. The community's support over the past six years has been tremendous [Donor List 10/18/23].

Let's finish what we started, paying off the debt and moving forward with the next phase of the project. To do this, the support must continue and be more broad based.

We are asking for help from the entire Great Valley private, public and business community.

Ways You Can Give

For further details on the project, how you can make a significant financial impact or information with regard to Naming Rights for the complex and areas throughout the project, please reach out to Keith Walsh at execdirector@gvco.org
