Pull out that ugly Christmas Sweater for this Sunday! No... it'll be too hot - maybe a Christmas t-shirt? We're celebrating Christmas in July this Sunday, July 30, with Christmas carols, readings, message, a fun surprise or two, and lots of cool, wintery thoughts!

Love to sing? Always wanted to sing in the Dayspring Choir? Now’s a great time! Dayspring has a summer choir that will sing in the service on July 30, August 13, and August 27. The choir meets at 9:15 the morning of the service (no weekday rehearsals). Come join us! Email David for more information. 

We offer free choirs for children and youth on Wednesday evenings throughout the school year! Choir experience is one of the best ways for children to develop their voices. They learn proper vocal technique, pitch matching, musicality, and are given solo and theatre opportunities during the year. Rehearsals start the evening of August 2! Step-Up Sunday, the day children and youth advance a Sunday school grade and regular programming resumes, is August 6. Children's Sunday School and Youth Formation will both meet at 10:00 through Labor Day.

Youth in 7-12 grades and their parents are invited to our Kickoff Pool Party on August 6 at 4:30pm at the LaFave's House. Please email Julie to RSVP and for the address.

SAVE THE DATE! Our Labor Day All-Church Campout is on the books for Sept 1-4 at Hoyer Campground in Greer! Join us for fellowship, campfires, potlucks and FUN at a cool 8500 feet! Registration begins August 1, but you may preregister now (or ask questions) by emailing Carol.

This week, we are hosting Family Promise. We've had a full house as we were initially asked to host three families then were alerted on Monday that a fourth family was in need of shelter so, of course, we said yes. On Tuesday, we were called again asking how many could we accommodate and Dayspring answered “As many as you need” so we brought in a final family of 5. In all, we've offered safe shelter to 16 people so far. Children have ranged in age from 3 months to 17 years. Thank you for supporting Family Promise and blessing families in need in a very tangible way.
