Weekly Newsletter 06/09/2023

Dear Parents,

What a wonderful first week of camp we had at Kids For Kids Academy. This week was all about getting ready for our celebration of Dads. The kids have been busy making gifts for that special person in their life. We acknowledge that not all our our students have dads. We welcome any special individual to join us at our annual Donuts with Dad event taking place next week.

Join us anytime between 8:00 am and 9:00 am. Have a little treat with your child, take a photo, and get your gifts. Each child is asked to bring one GUEST for this celebration...Dad, Grandpa, Uncle, Mom or ANY special person

June 14: Silver & Gold

June 15: Purple, Orange, Brown

June 16: Red, Yellow, Blue, Rainbow

This week our students in Rainbow, Orange, Brown, Silver and Gold were treated to an on site fieldtrip. The Musical Storytime was presented by the Miami Children's Museum. If your child is in one of those classes and was here on Wednesday, you will see a $7 charge on your account. There are 4 fieldtrips over the course of the summer, they are all listed on the camp calendar on the front door and also on the camp calendar in the parent corner of our website.

Next week will start our in school Karate and Ballet program. Those students who were signed up will be picked up by the karate or ballet teachers and will be walked to the studio at the end of the shopping center. Our staff will assist in walking them over and picking them up, but they will be supervised by the Karate and Ballet company. If you signed up your child, a $14 per week charge will appear on your account for whichever class(es) you signed up for. At this time, the classes are full. If you still wish to sign up, let me know and if a space opens, I can let you know. Weeks your child is absent or on vacation, you will not be billed.

Next week our elementary kids Kindergarten and up will begin their Summer Science Extravaganza completing different hands on science themes each week. They will also have one hour a day of academic enrichment to avoid that famous "summer brain drain".

Our other students will jet off to Africa as we begin our summer passport for fun program. Each week they will visit a different continent as they learn about life all around the word.
