Dear OLOL Families,
It is hard to believe but we will be welcoming our students for the 2023-2024 school year later this month. I hope that you and your children are as excited as I am for the 2023-2024 school year.
You should have received the back-to-school packet which includes all important days and times for before-school events. If you haven’t received it, please contact the school office.
There are a few staffing updates which I would like to pass along. I’m am having discussions with individuals about the supportive consultant role. I’m confident that we will find the individual that will flourish in that role in the upcoming weeks. Ms. Kaycee Gierczak has resigned her position as she is relocating to the Wausau area. We wish her well on her new role and location. I’m currently interviewing teachers for this position.
I am working closely with GRACE President, Kim Desotell, to analyze all aspects regarding this position. With the review of the Kindergarten and 1st Grade class enrollments, I wish to assure you that we will make a decision and communicate to you, as soon as we are able. I appreciate your support and patience. You can rest assured that the decision will be based on what is best for student learning.
We have some TSF hour opportunities with Packer Parking. We would appreciate it if you could get some OLOL friends together and help us out with this fundraiser. If you have additional time, please consider volunteering to be a lead for a couple of games.
Please save the date for our 1st OLOL Parent Homecoming which will be on Friday, September 8th from 7 - 10PM. This is a community building event with the goal of connecting our new parents with our existing families. The goal is not to be a fundraiser but just to celebrate as a community. Please see the flier below for more details.
The first day of school will be Tuesday, August 29th. I incorrectly had the 29th as a Wednesday.
Important Dates:
Wednesday, August 23rd 6:30 - New Family Orientation Mandatory for all preschool, kindergarten families as well as any new families in 1st - 8th grade.
