Dear Parishioners,

19-20 August 2023 will be a busy, yet celebrative, weekend here at Our Lady of Lourdes as we prepare for the beginning of the new academic year, while bringing summer vacations to a close. I’d like you to be aware of activities taking place that weekend which hopefully you will attend to share in the joy of the completion of two recent campus improvements.

OPEN HOUSE AT THE PARISH CENTER – 1307 LOURDES AVENUE

We have added additional members to our parish administrative and pastoral staff. In order to accommodate more ‘workers in the vineyard,’ it was necessary to expand our work environment. Over the past year, the entire second floor of the parish center, the former Saint Joseph of Carondelet Convent, was gutted and re-purposed to accommodate additional offices and a new meeting room. The first floor has also been refreshed, and safety/security measures have been added. You are welcome to check out the newly-refurbished parish center after the 4:30 PM, 8:15 AM and 10:15 AM Masses.

RE-DEDICATION OF THE SAINT PIUS X EXPOSITION AND ADORATION CHAPEL

As we begin our parish participation in the USCCB’s three-year roll out of the “Eucharistic Revival,” we will re-dedicate the refreshed adoration chapel that was constructed at Lourdes during the pastorate of Father Tim Shillcox, O. Praem. The chapel is being updated with new furnishings, a refreshed color scheme, a new Eucharistic “Lumen Christi” window, a new “Eucharistic Exposition Tower” and a newly-created monstrance that will find its home in the new tower. All are encouraged to consider attending the 10:15 AM Mass on Sunday which will conclude with a Eucharistic Procession, transferring the Holy Eucharist (in its new monstrance) around the campus to the newly updated chapel.

Power of Pipes Concert Series!

Our Lady of Lourdes: August 22 at 6:30 pm.

Power of the Pipes:

These 45 minute concerts occur on Tuesday evenings at 6:30 during the late summer. Each one is located at a different Green Bay area church and features its resident organist. The concerts provide opportunities to learn about the history of these churches and of the organs you find inside them. Each concert is different, providing opportunities to hear different kinds of organ music, some of which you will certainly not hear during Sunday morning worship!

SERVICE/VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY
