Fall Mission Summit 2023 Planning is well underway for this year's Fall Mission Summit scheduled for October 7th, 2023 from 10am-2pm at Christ Church, Stevensville. This year we are excited about our Ministry Fair & "Tailgate Party" which will offer fun and engaging activities for parishioners of all ages while highlighting some of the best initiatives happening around the Diocese. Each church will have a chance to share their top success stories and provide one another with tools for applying these ideas across the Diocese.  Stay tuned for more info coming soon! Check out our Mission Summit 2023 webpage throughout the summer for updates.
The Peru Mission Team Please continue to keep our team in your prayers as they end their time in Peru and begin their journey home. God has boldly called 7 students and 7 adults to serve in villages along the Miranon River. They offered vision clinics through a partnership with Global Vision 2020 and worked with faith leaders to help in a program that is empowering and equipped them to lead Children's Ministries in their communities. To catch up on their time in Peru, check out our Facebook Page.
Retirement Announcement of The Rev. Bill Ortt effective December 1, 2023. Father Bill's last weekend of services will be November 4th and 5th. The diocese appreciates his time as Rector of Christ Church, Easton and to the wider diocese for the past 24 years and we want to congratulate him on his many accomplishments in his 37 years as an ordained priest. Warm wishes and prayers to Bill & Susan as they set out on their next adventure!!
Where in the World is Bishop San?! We continue to pray for Bishop San during his Sabbatical where he is spending time in self-care, health and wellness initiatives, retreats and pilgrimages, study, reflection and writing.
Latino Leadership training days to be led by Padre Thom Sinnott and Pastor Mark Hansen Aug 12 & Nov 11, with each session running from 10 am to 3:00 pm; the venue is slated to be in the new English Learning Center at St. Clement’s. For more information, contact Mark Hansen.
Pastoral Concerns

Over the summer, we ask for continued prayers for those in need:

We pray for the repose of the soul of The Rev. Kenneth Thom. Father Ken was ordained as a deacon May 2001 and as a priest November 2001. He served various parishes in the diocese including: St.Paul's-by-the-Sea, Ocean City; Church of the Holy Spirit, Ocean City; All Hallows, Snow Hill; and most recently St. Philip's, Quantico. Father Ken also served as a member of the Diocesan Council. Please pray for his beloved wife, Arlene, his family, and all who mourn his passing.

We pray for the repose of the soul of The Rev. Constance W. Robinson. Connie was ordained in the Diocese of Easton in 2005 and served as a Curate at both Christ Church, I.U., and Emmanuel, Chestertown. She also served as a
Supply Priest to many parishes in the Northern Convocaton and Delaware.
She was a gifted educator and offered study programs such as Living the Questions, and Saving Jesus. Please pray for her beloved husband The Rev. David Robinson, her family and all who mourn her passing.

We continue to pray for a full and speedy recovery for Presiding Bishop Michael Curry - and for Curry’s medical team.

We pray for continued healing and comfort for the following people and their families: for Lynn Anstatt. Geovanni Ayon, Carolyn Lee Crouse. John Friel. Doug Girardeau. Jamie Goodman. The Rev. Babs Glancey. The Rev. Jim Kamihachi & Weasie Kamihachi. The Rev. Ron Knapp. The Rev. Jack Mason. Tom Mendenhall. The Rev. Susan Oldfather. The Rev. Peggy Samuels. Jeffrey Simms. Danielle Simms. Goldey Vansant.

Christians across our diocese are being urged to pray and fast for Sudan as the conflict continues. The fighting that has erupted in the Sudanese capital, Khartoum, and elsewhere in the country is a direct result of a vicious power struggle within the country's military leadership.
The Archbishop of Cantebury, Justin Welby, tweeted, "We hold the nation of Sudan in our prayers at this time. Lord God, protect the civilians, bring peace to this appalling crisis in the nation’s life, and allow political stability to return."

Pray for cessation of the war in Ukraine, Middle East and in other parts of the world. For the citizens of Ukraine, refugees and displaced children, the elderly, parents, sick and the nations that are providing a safe and secure shelter for migrant citizens.

Submit prayer requests to: Beth@dioceseofeaston.org. Names are listed for four weeks unless otherwise specified.
