Lessons from the Climate Anxiety Counseling Booth

Kate Schapira, author of Lessons from the Climate Anxiety Counseling Booth: How to Live with Care and Purpose in an Endangered World, will share methods for living with our emotional responses to climate realities and using them as guides to connection and action.



Schapira will be joined by members of Lexington Climate Action Network/LexCAN, who can offer concrete ways to work and care for the living world in the Lexington area and beyond.

LexCAN Community Meeting: Critical Proposed Sustainability Features for Lexington High School Building Project

Tuesday, September 10 7:00- 8:30pm

VIRTUAL

Come learn what the proposed sustainability features in the Lexington High School Building Project are and their importance in meeting Lexington's climate goals. This meeting will focus solely on the LHS Building Project's sustainability aspects. Other aspects of the Building Project can be discussed at future forums hosted by the Town.

LexElectrify is a community-wide campaign to empower homeowners, renters, and businesses to eliminate greenhouse gas emissions from the building and transportation sectors.

Go Solar! Free Solar Coaching!

Lexington HeatSmart is now offering solar coaching! By talking to a HeatSmart Energy Advisor, you will get the guidance you need to go solar and install battery backup systems. Advisors can discuss system sizing to meet your home electrification or energy saving goals, different ownership models to consider, what credits and rebates you can expect, and how adding batteries can deliver resilience benefits and additional savings.

Join the couple hundred Lexington residents who have benefited from conversations with the program's excellent Energy Advisors.

On June 4th, the Town hosted an information session to introduce the concept of networked geothermal heating and cooling systems and provide an overview of what the Town is exploring through an initial feasibility study funded by a Kickstart Massachusetts grant.
