TBRI® Caregiver Training

TBRIŽ is an attachment-based, evidence-based, and trauma-informed intervention that is designed to meet the complex needs of vulnerable children. The TBRIŽ Caregiver Training is designed for TBRIŽ Practitioners to train caregivers, broadly speaking, within their organization in Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRIŽ), equipping staff/caregivers with the skills and tools needed to be successful in their various roles. TBRIŽ Practicioners:

Jennifer Werden, BSW, FASD Parent Advocate at The Florida Center

Jenn began learning about TBRIŽ in 2019 when she was deep inthe trenches of needing help supporting her son and his needs. She initially completed the Caregiver Training in March 2020 and has repeated the course to hear from multiple practitioners. In May of 2021, she became a TBRI Practitioner after undergoing an intensive 40-hour training from the Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development based at Texas Christian University. She jumped right in and hosted her first Caregiver training in the summer of 2021 and has been supporting caregivers through a trauma-informed, connection-based, and attachment-focused lens since. Jenn earned her bachelor's degree in social work from Florida State University in 2021. She is currently pursuing her master's degree in the same field and is expected to complete the degree in early 2024.
