Journey there & back again with Bilbo, Gandalf, Thorin & more beloved Tolkein characters!

In this unique & fast-paced adaptation, all the Middle Earth characters we know & love will be played by a cast of 6 outstanding teenagers, all rapidly switching from one wild creature to another. This is a show you'll want to see a second time, with a second breakfast.

Directed by SCT Alum Jeremy Kole, this musical adventure is a nod to the first-ever musical produced by Savannah Children's Theatre, way back in 2005! We are thrilled to present it again for our 20th anniversary with a fresh new take by a wonderful theatre artist who embodies everything in the SCT mission statement to inspire, educate & entertain, both on & off the stage!

Roles are available for children, teens & adults of all ages! No need to prepare anything special, just come ready to sing, move, play & have fun! (Also, maybe some honking & quacking?)

Our mission is to inspire, educate & entertain children & families through the experience of live theatre, both on & off the stage. We fulfill this mission through school field trips, after-school classes & community theatre events, but we can only continue these programs with the financial support of patrons like you. We are proud to have received the Candid Platinum Transparency Seal for our second year in a row!
