Rail Safety Meeting

TODAY, November 15, 6:00 - 7:30pm

The City of Minneapolis will host a meeting on the topic of rail safety during construction of the METRO Green Line extension (also known as the Southwest light rail). The Green Line extension will add 14.5 miles to the existing METRO Green Line, which connects downtown Minneapolis with downtown Saint Paul.

Residents will get information from the Southwest LRT Project Office, Twin Cities & Western Railroad, and the Minneapolis Fire Department. Presentations will be followed by a Q&A period. Learn more here.

Stay Safe

There have been a couple of recent carjackings in adjacent neighborhoods. Please consider these safety suggestions:

Pay attention to your surroundings when you are in your car.
Don't be on your phone or otherwise distracted when entering or exiting your vehicle.
Lock your car doors.

Yard Waste Collection

Reminder - Yard waste collection ends the week of Nov. 27, 2023. Your last yard waste pickup will be on your garbage day the week of November 27 - December 1, 2023
