Greetings and Happy New Year!
As we welcome a new year, we are eager to do what we do best at the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) and go the extra mile to make every day extraordinary by offering customer service excellence and industry-leading partnerships for our customers. Our team is committed to making even the most ambitious conventions and events a reality. The first quarter of the 2023-2024 fiscal year has shown much success and will serve as a strong foundation for the remainder of this fiscal year.
From October to December 2023, we welcomed approximately 266,200 attendees across 52 events, generating an estimated $471 million in economic impact for the Central Florida region. This comes directly from the consistent hard work and dedication given to clients and attendees which has kept us as an industry innovator – keeping clients and guests coming back for more.
Recently listed as the 2nd most popular convention center in the U.S., the contributions of each committed staff member, devoted partner, dedicated client and supportive attendee has helped The Center of Hospitality reach new heights. We also continue to move forward with the Center’s expansion project as we reengage in the design process with our partners Populous + C.T. Hsu, a joint venture.
Moving forward into the second quarter, we are thrilled to welcome back some of our legacy events, including the PGA Show, Surf Expo, VMX 2024 and MEGACON Orlando. In a place known for hospitality, we’re at the center of it all thanks to our committed staff, supporting partners and trusting clients. Together, we continue to showcase our incredible meetings and events destination and forge a path forward in the industry.
