Dear REF Community,

When you make a gift to Ravenswood Education Foundation's annual campaign , you are truly making a difference in the lives of students, teachers and families in East Palo Alto and eastern Menlo Park. REF provides nearly 20% of the Ravenswood City School District's budget and is directly responsible for funding much needed, much deserved academic and enrichment programming that otherwise, simply would not happen.

A few highlights of what your donations are making possible at each Ravenswood school:

Belle Haven: Students are getting highly personalized instruction with their REF-funded literacy intervention teacher during the new UT2T block (Universal Tier Two Time) when intervention teachers, volunteers, and the classroom teacher work with students one-on-one and in small groups to accelerate learning. This innovative structure is in addition to regular classroom instruction and ensures students don't miss out on valuable grade level learning (Tier 1 instruction).

CCRMS: Cesar Chavez Ravenswood Middle School 8th grade girls volleyball took the Art David League Championship title this fall! The volleyball program along with soccer, tennis, basketball and many more athletics opportunities are all made possible by the REF community.

Costaño: The Costaño School of the Arts REF-funded specialist teachers went above and beyond their daily jobs as art, music, dance, and PE teachers to welcome families for a Dia de los Muertos Family Art Night. These teachers not only offer enriching arts instruction to all students but also provide release time for teachers to collaborate during the school day.
