Upcoming Events & News

Choral Evensong: We will not have Evensong this month – too many of our choir are unavailable. Our next service will be in January, date to be announced.


Lectionary Bible Study: The lectionary bible study on Sunday’s at 9:30 is taking a break and will not meet this Sunday. It will resume on January 7th. 


Twelve Days of Christmas Calendars: There are a limited number of Twelve Days of Christmas Calendars in the Narthex. It offers meditations from Christmas Day through the Feast of the Epiphany of January 6th. Please take one!


Greening of the Church: The greening of the church will take place on Sunday, December 24th after the 10:30 service. Any & all volunteers would be appreciated.


Christmas Flowers & Greenery: If you would like to contribute to decorating our church for Christmas in memory or honor of someone, please make your donation by Tuesday, December 19th. Names received by that date will be included in our Christmas bulletins (Christmas Eve services, and the Christmas Festival of Lessons & Music on December 31st).


Evergreen Wreaths: There is a limited number of 22” wreaths for sale at $35 each. Please contact Jo Cargill-Krug to purchase.


Coffee Hour: After the service, everyone is invited to the Parish House (two lefts at the bottom of the steps) for refreshments and fellowship. We promise you will still be able to beat the Baptists and Methodists to lunch afterwards.


Blessing Box: Donations for non-perishable food items are needed for our Blessing Box. Foods that are ready to eat and pop top items are suggested. Any help with this will be greatly appreciated. You can drop off donations at the church office or the Narthex.


The Chosen Bible Study: We have finished the first season and will take the next three weeks off. We will resume on January 9th with season two.

From the Diocese: The Reverend Canon John T.W. Harmon will be ordained and consecrated a Bishop in the one holy catholic and apostolic Church, and Fourteenth Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Arkansas. It will be held on The Feast of the Epiphany, Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 11:00 am at Episcopal Collegiate School at 1701 Cantrell Road in Little Rock. To help with planning for the consecration service, the diocese asks that everyone who plans to attend RSVP by completing the registration form at episcopalarkansas.com/bishop-consecration. Please RSVP by December 30, 2023. Hotel rooms for out-of-town guests have been reserved; for more information on this, please call Katie at the office 870-793-2203.


Office Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8am-12pm. Hours vary on Wednesdays.



Brown Bag Bible Study: Beginning on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, will be ‘Brown Bag Bible Study’ led by Rev. Gene Crawford. It will be weekly on Wednesdays in the Anglican Hall with Zoom available and will be from 11:45 am to 1 pm. Lunch is BYOLD (bring your own lunch and drink). The study material will be from the book titled The Gospel of Mark, The New Daily Study Bible by Dr. William Barclay. You can purchase the book from Amazon or abebooks.com; be sure to get the book with The NEW Daily Study Bible in the title. If you need assistance with ordering the book, Rev. Gene will be glad to assist you. If you are interested in joining this study, please contact the office via phone or email.
