Supplier Showcase is October 30

The annual UC Davis Supplier Showcase returns to the Activities and Recreation Center (ARC) on Wednesday, Oct. 30, from 10am to 1pm. In a nod to the season, we will be sharing tricks to make purchasing a treat!

We are excited to have more than 30 university agreement suppliers with laboratory, medical, office, custodial, furniture, and computing/software catalogs registered to table. Talk to the suppliers and learn more about the breadth and depth of their catalogs available in Aggie Enterprise and on university agreements.  Attend one or more breakout sessions on a variety of purchasing policies and procedures. In addition, you can register to win raffle prizes and enjoy some light appetizers and beverages as well.

Finding Category Names

A Category Name is used to identify what is being purchased on a Requisition and to automatically route applicable purchases to the correct approving units, such as Capital Asset Accounting or Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S). Locating an appropriate Category Name can sometimes be a challenge, so we have a spreadsheet that can make that process a little easier! The Category Name spreadsheet includes the Category Name, description, taxability, special routing (if applicable), natural account, and expenditure type, too. You'll find a link to the spreadsheet by hovering over the question mark icon next to the Category Name field when creating a Requisition.

The Sustainable Choice:

Aluminum Bottled Water

In support of the University of California's zero waste goals, including phasing out the procurement, sale and distribution of single-use plastic beverage bottles, the Supply Chain Management Storehouse now offers water in aluminum containers.

The water can be ordered from the SCM Store Catalog within Aggie Enterprise. There are two options to choose from:

  • For 16-oz Aquafina aluminum water bottles (case of 24): Search “GENL-0004”
  • For 12-oz Proud Source aluminum water cans (pack of 8): Search “GENL-0007”

The water can either be delivered to your department in one to two business days, or picked up from the Hopkins Services Complex.
