Microsoft Datacenter Expansion in Racine County

Investment Expected to Bolster Region

The Village of Mount Pleasant, Racine County, Racine County Economic Development Corporation (RCEDC), and Milwaukee 7 (M7) announced plans for Microsoft to significantly expand its investment in Racine County.


Microsoft has received final approval from Racine County and the Village of Mount Pleasant to acquire an additional 1,030 acres for their data center campus bringing the total acreage to 1,345 acres or approximately 2 square miles. Microsoft has committed to a minimum of $1.4 Billion of taxable property value by 2028.

Strategic Revitalization of Racine's Lincoln King Neighborhood

The City of Racine’s Community Development Authority recently approved a 20-year plan to redevelop the Lincoln King Neighborhood through new housing opportunities and health and community centers. This redevelopment plan will leverage a $15 million grant from the State of Wisconsin and will build on the momentum created by J. Jeffers' Bell City Square, which is located in the target area.

BRP Investing $14M into Sea-Doo Switch Project - Sturtevant

In January 2022, BRP launched production of the Sea-Doo Switch, a customizable pontoon at its Sturtevant, WI manufacturing facility. To support production and distribution requirements, BRP plans to invest more than $14 million in improvements to its existing manufacturing and training facility and the development of an off-site shipping yard that will hold the finished product prior to distribution.
