Greetings from Kigali and Kampala!
Travulous is thrilled to welcome you to our first newsletter of 2024.
For us, it has been a good start to the year, especially since we recently received the award of 'Leading Experts in Tour Operations & Destination Management - Rwanda' by LUXlife. As outlined in the 'Our Awards' section below, LUXlife's merit-driven approach ensures that winners are not determined by the popularity of votes, but instead by their contributions.
January has also been a busy month for Travulous as we are opening our second regional office in East Africa and recruiting new staff to join our growing company. As you will see in this newsletter's 'Meet the Team' section, we have grown our team to 21 individuals, comprised of:
-
6 Office Staff - with 2 new team members joining us in our new office in Kampala
-
10 Driver Guides - with new individuals joining us in Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania
-
5 Tour Leaders - who lead Travulous' Small Group Tours across East Africa
Travulous is now perfectly positioned to offer you a tailored One-Stop-Shop solution across East Africa. You will benefit from one point of contact for the provision of ground transfers, flights by light aircraft or helicopter, and accommodation bookings in Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania. We can service your requirements in English, German and Swiss German.
Gone are the days where you have to grapple with the challenge of inconsistencies caused by working with multiple DMCs across the region. Work with Travulous and we will provide you with consistent levels of service in Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania. Best of all, regardless of your location, book with confidence knowing all monies are fully protected by Protected Trust Services (PTS). For additional details, refer to the 'One-Stop-Shop' and 'How We Operate' sections below.
To learn about our experience of operating safaris in East Africa, read the press releases in '20 Years Working in East Africa'. They describe how our Co-Founder Richard has been curating inspirational tours across East Africa since 2003, both for his old company Baobab Expeditions and the current day Travulous. Over the years, Richard has partnered with leading wildlife organisations including the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund in Rwanda, the Born Free Foundation in Kenya and the Jane Goodall Institute in Tanzania. Richard's conviction to support wildlife conservation coupled with his knowledge of East Africa was the key reason for the distinguished selection by these organisations.
