MESSAGE FROM FR. JEFF

Hello everybody!

My enjoyment of and passion for the outdoors has always (from the time I was a Boy Scout) given me a care for the preservation and protection of our natural world. The beauty, intricacy, grander, and interdependence of God’s created world have fascinated and inspired me. I have often thought of my responsibility as a steward or a curator of God’s handiwork, as well as, taking joy in experiencing the wonder of the universe on our local level. On September 1, the church observes the World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation and is joining this year with other denominations and churches for the Season of Creation which concludes on the Feast Day of St. Francis, October 4. You can check out our website and social media for ways to participate.

Please keep those who are preparing and will take part in the Women’s Welcome Experience this weekend in your prayers. May God meet them on this retreat and may they experience his love for each of them.

One of my favorite events, where we put our faith in action, at St. Pats, is coming up on September 16. Our Meal Packing Event is a cross generational opportunity to help meet the needs of those who are hungry. It is also great fun for the whole family. You can sign up on our website. I hope to see you there!

May God bless you and keep you in his love!

Peace,

Fr. Jeff
