Good job everyone!
Do we love our three day weekends? Need I ask! Labor Day is a celebration of the value of work. As adults, the work we do contributes to our self-worth and our family. As part of a strong family we contribute to our community and ultimately our nation.

Accomplishing tasks and valuable work feels good. All we need to do to believe in the worth of work is watch our little ones imitate us as we go about our chores.

Good job everyone! Happy Labor Day!

Have a great weekend, Parmalee
Don't get cut off from all the events!
The Santa Cruz County Fair
A View of US!
The 2023 Santa Cruz County Fair is almost upon us, September 13 - 17. Going to the fair gives us a view of US: our hobbies, food, animals, artists, inventors, collectors, comedians, entertainers and neighbors from all over the county.

The fair means carnival rides, sweet and savory treats, live music, livestock, magic shows, Twinkle Time, pig races, beautiful quilts, floral displays, vegetable art, horse shows, cattle spotting, exotic chickens, sweet sheep, kids hobbies and collections, model railroads, traditional rides, goats that make us laugh, a baby derby.

Circus Alegria will thrill audiences with their wild show. It combines traditional acts with larger-than-life creatures. Witness the battle of all time when King Kong takes on dinosaurs! Enjoy Los Moralitos Acrobatic Circus.

This year’s featured Monster Trucks include Playing for Keeps, Enforcer, Wicked Strong and Hillbilly. There’s also The Extinguisher Monster Ride Truck and Quad Wars featuring The Immortal ATV Riders.

Listen to your favorite bands live, The Sun Kings Beatles Tribute Band and Los Bondadosos.

Let's have a good time. We earned it!
New Halloween Costumes Needed
"CASA is kindly seeking donations of costumes, face paints, and costume accessories for our kiddos! They must be new and in original packaging- we can't accept used, even slightly used, items. Every year it is our joy to provide costumes for our kids who would otherwise go without. Please contact Ana Menera at the CASA House. Thank you!"

"Recently 15 new volunteer Advocates were sworn in. These wonderful community members recently completed their 35 hours of training and are ready to be matched with a child or youth."

We parents are pretty busy supporting our own children. Our hearts go out to those families and children who need extra help. Some of us can become an advocate. Others cannot stretch that far. However there are several ways we can support CASA and the families who need our support. Learn about CASA. Learn how we can be supportive.
