Ward 8 E-News
Mississauga roads will get busier once again as thousands of students, from pre-school to college and university, head back to school starting Tuesday, September 5. Students will be walking, riding their bikes and scooters, taking school buses or MiWay buses, and being driven to and from school. The City of Mississauga reminds all road users to stay alert and be aware when using roads to help prevent collisions.

The City is now accepting applications for the 2024 Culture and Community Grant Programs, including six streams (Arts & Culture, Festivals & Celebrations, Live Music, Culture Projects, Community and Small Project Matching Grants). There are a range of opportunities available to support new and emerging, established, professional and community-based organizations as they deliver programs and services that align with the City’s strategic priorities.

All grant details are now live on the City’s Grants Portal, including eligibility and application criteria, guidelines and information sessions.

Grant applications must be submitted online by Friday, October 13, 2023, at 4:30 p.m, with recommendations being brought forward to Council for approval in February.
