Dear Strawbridge family:

We very much appreciate the strong turnout for last Sunday’s Town Hall meeting in the church sanctuary. Almost 200 members heard a status report on SUMC’s pending purchase of the site across the drainage ditch, as well as preliminary details about plans for the Embrace the Spirit capital campaign, which is in the planning stages.

This also was the first of three planned Town Hall meetings to enable church members to hear directly from Senior Pastor Todd Jordan and other campaign leaders, as well as the architect working with us on options for addressing the growth that we have experienced over the past two years.

If you were unable to attend this Town Hall or would like to review the discussion and the presentation of specific building options, a video of the meeting is now available on YouTube. The architect’s presentation also has been posted on the SUMC website for members to review.

Many of those who attended also gave us helpful feedback on forms provided at the Town Hall. If you were not able to attend or did not return one of the blue forms after the meeting, they will be available this Sunday, Jan. 28, in the narthex and in the church office. We look forward to receiving your comments and suggestions.
