Renters Rights Workshops

Join the Los Rios Basic Needs Centers for a series of free and informative workshops dedicated to empowering renters/tenants! Attend in person at ARC/SCC or online via Zoom. These sessions will cover topics including your rights, lease agreements, rental rates, deposit regulations, landlord responsibilities, and more!

Using Technology to Fight Climate Change


The Sacramento City College (SCC) Geography Department proudly presents an enlightening event during Geography Awareness Week – “Using Spaceborne Remote Sensing to Fight Climate Change." Join us on Thursday, November 2, from 12:00 to 1:00 pm via Zoom or in person at SCC in the Learning Resource Center room LRC 105 (see map) as we extend a warm welcome to Dr. Jorn Herner, an esteemed expert and Branch Chief at the California Air Resources Board. Dr. Herner will share insights on California's groundbreaking initiative that harnesses the potential of spaceborne remote sensing to track and combat greenhouse gas emissions. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about the innovative ways California is using technology to help safeguard our planet.
