BELLE CHASSE, LA. - The Belle Chasse Bridge and Tunnel Replacement Project announces this week's scheduled construction activities and anticipated traffic impacts (all of which are subject to potential changes).
Daytime LA-23 Schedule
Monday 12/4:
- LA-23 northbound right lane closed of from Barriere Rd. through the bridge starting at 9:30AM

LA-23 southbound left lane closure from X St. to Barriere Rd.
Tuesday 12/5:

Eastbound Engineers Rd. shoulder (See below traffic impacts for the West W. St. intersection)
Wednesday 12/6:
- LA-23 southbound left lane / right lane alternating lane closures from Burmaster St. to Belle Chasse Tunnel.
Thursday 12/7:
- LA-23 northbound left lane closed from Barriere Rd. to Engineers Rd. from 8:00 AM-2:00 PM
Nighttime Schedule
- No closures currently scheduled
West W & Eng. Rd. Intersection

Tuesday 12/5: Asphalt paving to occur with access being temporarily disrupted and fully restored by EOD. (See attached detour map for West W. St. residents/businesses to utilize during temporary traffic disruptions).
