EDUCATION SESSION

The Impact of Real Estate on Sustainability and the Quest for Greenification

Airplane travel and meat consumption are often portrayed as the villains of sustainability, yet there is another major offender that is widely overlooked. Commercial (and residential) buildings account for 36% of global energy use through their construction and operation and nearly 40% of CO2 emissions. The ecological footprint becomes even larger when the water and raw materials used by contractors and tenants are included.

Hear about the processes and best practices that are making real estate construction and building operations more efficient. Consider approaches that both greenify buildings and boost investment returns.

Bring your questions on this topical issue. Discuss your views with your colleagues during an apero after the program.
