Will You Stand With Us?

Parents, this is our opportunity to stand against the sexually obscene books in our K-12 libraries. If you have not been involved, now is the time.

Did you know that if you handed a minor a piece of explicit material you would be arrested? Yet, within the walls of our school libraries our children have full access to these materials and they are there legally.

Georgia is one of 43 states where K-12 libraries are exempt from the Obscenity Law. So until we can change the law, we may win small skirmishes, but we will not win the war.

Senator Greg Dolezal's bill, SB154, will remove that exemption in Georgia. There are three library bills this session that you need to know about. One is SB154 and the other two should have bill numbers soon. We will keep you updated.

Please mark your calendars and join us February 1 at the Capitol to let our legislators know the urgency in passing all these bills, but especially SB154. This will not happen without you! We will send bill numbers when they are available and detailed information on how to reach out to the sponsor of these bills, and your representatives. If you are not sure who your legislators are, click on the button below.
