Upcoming Worship Services | |
Sunday, December 10 — In-Person & Zoom
"How We Help and Why it Matters"
We spend a lot of time and effort trying to help our neighbors and those struggling in our communities. Rosie Ramsey-Granillo's role in the county is dedicated to fixing the way the state and the community deliver services to children and families. This conversation will reflect on how we go about this work and what could transform the process for the better.
- Rosie Ramsey-Granillo, Guest Speaker
- Nancy Holland, Service Leader
- Michael Casey, Musician
Sunday, December 17 — In-Person & Zoom
"Contemplative Ways"
Religious traditions offer paths of reflection that are amazingly similar. From Buddhist meditation practices, to times of silence in the desert, to pilgrimages to holy sites, we're reminded that our spirits need quiet. At this service with Rev. Sue Browning, we'll consider the power of deep reflection in life, particularly as a part of the holiday season.
- Rev. Sue Browning, Minister
- Annie Lavin, Service Leader
- Michael Casey, Musician
Saturday, December 23 — In-Person ONLY (7 p.m.)
"Eve of the Eve - A Christmas Candlelight Service"
Many years ago, the Unitarian Universalists of the Chester River decided to celebrate Christmas Eve a day early. We invite all to join us for our Christmas "Eve of the Eve" service (Saturday, Dec. 23!). At this service led by Rev. Sue Browning and other members of the congregation, we'll share stories, songs, a brief message, and end with singing Silent Night. This is a service for all ages!
- Rev. Sue Browning, Minister
- Congregation Members
- Michael Casey, Music

This Sunday, December 3rd after the 10 a.m. service you are again invited to gather in our sanctuary for our Social Justice Community event. We will be providing sandwiches as is our custom on the first Sunday of the month.
Our task will be to generate our holiday spirit of generosity!
We will hang decorations, trim our tree as we distribute gift tags for our DHS family, prepare table centerpieces for this week's Soup Sampler Supper all while enjoying some holiday piano offerings from Philip Dutton. Please join us and share your experiences of generosity with one another.
