Tolson Awarded Algernon Sydney Sullivan Award


For his great career in serving the region's people and needs, North Carolina Wesleyan University presented Norris Tolson with the Algernon Sydney Sullivan Award at their Homecoming game on Saturday, October 14. Mr. Tolson is the Vice President of Special Projects for the Carolinas Gateway Partnership. The award is presented to a community leader who best exemplifies excellence in character, leadership, service to the community and a commitment to spiritual values. Read more.

The Mims Gallery at The Dunn Center

This is the first time a Bob Ross exhibit has been to North Carolina. With over 75 paintings, this will be the largest exhibition ever seen under one roof globally!


Open to the public. Tickets are $15 per person with free admission for children under five. Tickets make great stocking stuffers or gifts!

Wesleyan to Offer Hybrid MBA Program


North Carolina Wesleyan University will soon be launching an additional option for its popular Master of Business Administration (MBA) with its new hybrid program starting January 2024. As an F1-Visa Qualified Program, international students can continue their education in the states immediately after earning their undergraduate degree. This 12-month, interactive program allows students to work and attend accelerated day classes. Each class will be offered 50% face-to-face and 50% online with classes held during the day in 8-week terms. Read more.


Alumni Release Music


Two graduates of North Carolina Wesleyan's Entertainment Arts Music Production program recently released music under the University's 301 North Records label. Will Plyler '21, released his 10-song album, "Who I Am" on September 22. Joshua Strausser '20 released his 5-song EP "Rose" on October 1. Both are available on all streaming services. 301 North Records is the official record label for releasing and promoting music produced by current students and alumni of the Music Production degree program, as well as by faculty, staff, and local musicians connected to the University. Reserve Your Wesleyan Memorial Brick

Students, organizations, parents, alumni, and community supporters now have the opportunity to inscribe their names at North Carolina Wesleyan University. The Office of Advancement is selling bricks to be placed at the entrance located at the south end of the Pearsall Library addition, or at the Leon Russell Chapel entrance. Your brick will be a permanent tribute on the NCWU campus and a special way to support NCWU.
