Scholarships - Where to Find Them
1. For most colleges, your application for admission is your application for merit scholarships. But also look on the colleges website for additional scholarships in the department of your major. For example, the OSU Engineering Department offers its own scholarship. Also check out alumni clubs for scholarships. Some colleges like OSU and UK use ScholarshipUniverse to help students locate internal and external scholarships. For more information, go to https://sfa.osu.edu/contact-us/consumer-disclosure/scholarshipuniverse
2. Check out the list of scholarships in Naviance. The scholarship list is updated at least twice a month. In Naviance, click on “Colleges,” “Scholarships and Money,” “Scholarship Search” and then “Local and Regional Scholarships” to view the available scholarships. Students will be able to print applications or go to online links to apply.
3. For National Scholarships check out GoingMerry and Fastweb. Each enables you to input your information to generate a list of scholarships specific to you.
4. Don't be afraid to let people know that you are looking for scholarships.
You may be surprised by who offers them.
Financial Aid/FAFSA and CSS Profile, if required
