Happy Birthday!

The HSA would like to wish Father Bob a very blessed birthday!  He is a pillar of strength and such a role model for our children. He is truly a blessing to our school and our community.

October Events

BINGO Friday, October 13th ~ from 6:00-9:30 Join us in the St. Rose Gathering Hall, doors open @ 5:45, and ticket sales start @ 6:00 pm. Bingo begins @ 6:30. This is a great time and is also a fundraiser for the school.

Parent’s Night out @ Aquila’s Nest Saturday, October 21st ~ from 6:30-9:00, Register here: Aquila’s Nest Come join the SRS Home and School Association for a parent community building event on Saturday, October 21st from 6:30-9:00 PM. We have reserved fire pits for the parent community to gather, catch up with old friends and welcome new.  

There is no charge for this event. We must have a minimum of 25 participants to host this event. Each attendee will purchase their own drinks and or/food. Fork in the Road & Smoke and Fire Food Trucks are scheduled to be on site from 11:30-9pm.

Annual Trunk or Treat - Saturday, October 28th ~ from 5:30-8:30 It’s time to get creative and brew up ideas for costumes and how you will decorate your trunk. More information on this event will be shared as it gets closer. 

We have already confirmed, Total DJ Entertainment Group, will be donating their time to bring musical entertainment and fun to this event!!!! Get ready for a rockin’ good time!!!!  

We will also have Travelin’ Tom’s Coffee Truck serving up Hot Cocoa, Warm Apple Cider… and the best part… 20% of sales goes back to the HSA. 

We do need 2-3 volunteers for the upcoming Trunk or Treat Event. To host this event, the HSA depends heavily on the support of our volunteers to ensure a successful evening. Please sign-up to be on the Trunk or Treat volunteer team!  

November Events

Veterans Day Flags - November 10th, 2023 - Last year, names of veterans were collected and placed with a flag on the front lawn of the school. We were also going to open up the sign-ups to the parish community. Sign up to volunteer

Scholastic Book Fair - A week long event November 13-17. Purchases will benefit our school directly, 25% back in rewards!  

Do you RaiseRight?!  

Everyone shops for groceries and the rebates through this program add up!

• Use RaiseRight cards to buy your groceries
• Orders are placed on the first and third Fridays of the month. Delivery within one week (online delivers your card electronically)
• Thank you to the families who are participating! 

Stew Leonard’s, Caraluzzi’s, ShopRite, Stop and Shop are just a few of the stores that bring us a 4-5% return for free! Ordering uniforms? Lands End is another participating vendor! Register by visiting RaiseRight, click on “Register.” Then, “Join an Existing Program” and enter the enrollment code “FDD33AD29533.”  

Is there an App?  Yes!!! Look for the Raise Right app in your app store. It is free to download. You can use it to place orders, and store e-gift cards. You can download it on your mobile device. And egift cards that are purchased using it are available for immediate use.

If you elect to order through the team, simply a) send an email to scrip@srles.com with the dollar amount and retailers you wish to purchase, b) send a check made payable to SRS HSA into school with your child (denote SRS SCRIP/Raise Right on the envelope) and c) await receipt of your cards. Orders are placed on the first and third Fridays of the month. Delivery within one week.

Oliver’s Labels

Label your kids' school supplies and support the school at the same time! 

This year we are doing a fundraiser through a program called Oliver's labels. You can purchase labels for your child's belongings and the school will receive a 20% profit for each purchase. This program will run all year. You can check the website out at www.Oliverslabels.com/StRoseSchool

Join other parents on the SRS Parents FB Page!  The purpose of this Facebook page is to provide an online “bulletin board” for parents and guardians of children attending Saint Rose of Lima School in Newtown, CT. This site is created and maintained by school parents, not school administration, so please do not expect the school staff to be aware of the content of this site.
