Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive Success!

6,102 lbs. of food collected

IAM is very grateful to all the donors, volunteers and USPS employees who helped collect food for this year's Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive! Special thanks to United Way of Henderson County for organizing this annual event.

As a result of the food drive, IAM received 6,102 lbs. of food for distribution through our panty. We all came together as a community to help in the fight against food insecurity here in Henderson County! Thank you!

Meet Daniel Rivera

Please help us welcome our newest team member, Daniel Rivera. Daniel will be serving as our Mobile Pantry Driver and Bilingual Associate.

Daniel is a member of Vision Jesus Church in Hendersonville and was looking for a way to get more involved in the community. "I’m looking for a closer connection with God and helping others is the best way to do that. My job at IAM makes me feel like I’m making a positive difference in the world."

We are very grateful Daniel found his way to IAM. Welcome!

Looking for Pantry Volunteers

Tuesdays

Tuesdays in the IAM pantry are especially busy and we also keep our pantry open two extra hours until 6 p.m. on that day.

As a result, we are moving to three volunteer shift opportunities on Tuesdays: 9-12 p.m., 12-3 p.m., and 3-6 p.m.

If you or someone you know would like to volunteer at IAM, this is great opportunity to be involved in one of IAM's most important services to our community.

Interested individuals should contact Amy Lewis, Volunteer Coordinator at (828) 697-7029 ext 215. Thank you!

Back to School Blessings!

Once again this year, IAM will be distributing back-to-school clothing for our school-aged neighbors. From July 31st through August 18th, we will be providing school clothes to children ages 4-18. We will have new and gently used shirts, pants, and shoes - as well as new socks and underwear.

Every child will also receive a special goodie bag of back-to-school surprises.

If you would like to help IAM give underserved children the chance to feel good about their clothing as they head back to school, please bring your donations to IAM Monday - Thursday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Thanks for supporting our local schoolchildren!

Reaching More of Our Neighbors

IAM's Mobile Pantry truck continues to significantly enhance IAM’s ability to reach communities in Henderson County that are most at risk for food insecurity. The food distributed is free and includes nutrient-dense food items including fresh produce, meat, and dairy products.

A New Welcome to IAM

Welcome! ¡Bienvenido!

We are here to help our neighbors in need.

IAM at the Ballpark July 22nd

Join IAM at Berkeley Mills Park for an evening of baseball with the Hendersonville Honeycrisps!

Volunteers and staff wearing their IAM shirts will get free admission. Family members will receive discounted ticket prices: $8 for adults, $5 for children under 18, and children under 5 are free. Volunteers, please let your department manager know if you'd like to attend.

Please help us give a big thanks to IAM volunteer Wayne Foresman for introducing us to the Honeycrisps! During the game, the Honeycrisps will also be accepting food donations for the IAM pantry.

Take yourself and your family out to the ballgame - for a great cause!

Thank You Kimberly Clark!

IAM is grateful to our good friends at Kimberly-Clark who recently donated 635 lbs. of personal care items to our pantry.

In addition to food, our pantry provides our neighbors with personal care products, pet food, and cleaning products. Donations of these items help IAM address all the needs of the neighbors who visit our pantry.

Thank you, Kimberly-Clark!
