Pursue an Education for Sustainability (EFS) Graduate Certificate, offered with the University of Vermont. Choose from a 12-credit or 18-credit multi-year pathway. Apply by early spring for a summer start.

For educators in the Lake Champlain Basin, join A Watershed for Every Classroom, a year-long program kicking off July 16–19. Explore how people, places, and things tell the stories of the region and develop a watershed-based teaching unit that integrates the local landscape.

Build a team and apply for the Northeast Farm to School Institute. Join us to cultivate vibrant communities, just food systems, and healthy kids. This year-long program begins June 25–27 and is offered in partnership with NOFA-VT.

The Shelburne Farms Institute for Sustainable Schools offers professional learning programs and resources for PreK-12 educators. All of our offerings prepare educators to facilitate learning experiences for students using a lens of sustainability. We believe in the power and potential of students to address the world's most pressing issues. We see schooling as a pathway to create healthy and just communities, successful lives, and a more livable world for all. In partnership with students and communities, educators are changemakers.
