From Joyce Weston, Chair
The New Hampshire primary is September 10 — just 40 days away!
We have a number of important primaries — for Congressional District 2 between Colin Van Ostern and Maggie Goodlander; a three-way race for the governor's chair between Joyce Craig, Cindy Warmington, and Jon Kiper; for Executive Councilor, District 2, between Karen Liot Hill and Mike Liberty (see upcoming forum below); and in the Grafton County government for Sheriff, Treasurer, and Register of Deeds. We hope you get to know the candidates before heading to the polls.
Our election headquarters is up and running at 17 Railroad Square, Plymouth. The OrganizeNH coordinator is Amy Deese. Drop by to introduce yourself and volunteer for canvassing or phone banking — or pick up yard signs for your favored candidates.
Our regional organizing director, Roddy Emley, is also there on a pretty regular basis, and another coordinator will be arriving soon to work solely on PSU, as the students return for the next term. So the place will be hopping.
• And this Sunday, Governor Tim Walz of Minnesota will join us at our Plymouth HQ for a strategy session at 2pm! We’ll be discussing the campaign's mission to turn out voters for Democrats up and down the ballot this fall. RSVP for more details HERE.
We are also going to benefit from a satellite campaign office on weekends in Bristol this time. Thanks to the new Bristol Democratic Town Committee, those canvassers who live in the southern part of our territory can spend a lot more time going door to door, rather than driving all the way to Plymouth to pick up and return a packet.
REMEMBER — we could use your help now. . . please don't wait until the final week in November.
