New City Phone Directory & Public Wi-Fi Services

The City is excited to announce two new technology services designed to make your experience in our City even better and more enjoyable.


New City Phone Directory: Improve call efficiency and connect with the right department quickly and easily by using our new directory at (858) 720-2400. 


Free Public Wi-Fi at La Colonia Park: Enjoy daily access to free public Wi-Fi from 5:30 AM to 9:30 PM, as part of our ongoing efforts to boost connectivity and provide greater access to digital resources for all residents.

Veterans Honor Courtyard Donor Tiles

In preparation for the City's Veterans Day Ceremony on November 11th, the City is once again  offering an opportunity to honor the military service of family members and loved ones with an engraved donor tile in the Veterans' Honor Courtyard at La Colonia Park. To ensure your tile is ready by Veterans Day, please submit your order form by Friday, October 4th. Orders placed after this date are welcome, but we cannot guarantee engraving in time for the ceremony. Submit your order today to pay tribute to those who have served!

Call for Artists Opportunities in Solana Beach

The Solana Beach Public Arts Commission is pleased to offer four distinct call for artists opportunities: Temporary Public Arts Program 2024-2026 Rotation; City Hall Gallery Program 2025 Exhibitions; Fletcher Cove Storm Drain Beautification Project; and New City Street Banners Design Project. We invite artists to apply to these opportunities, to showcase their work and contribute to the vibrant public art scene in our community. Public art is a vital part of Solana Beach's cultural identity, and supporting local artists is essential to maintaining our unique and dynamic atmosphere. Residents, please help spread the word about these fantastic opportunities. Let's continue to celebrate and enhance the artistic spirit of Solana Beach!

Concerts at the Cove Continues!

With only two more concerts left in the summer series, join us for evenings of great music and summer vibes! The park fills up quickly, so be sure to arrive early to secure your spot. We encourage attendees to come “car-free” and bring low-back beach chairs, blankets, or ground covers. If you plan to bring a picnic, please remember to shop locally from our many restaurants and stores in Solana Beach.

Join us TONIGHT, August 1st, for a groovy musical experience with "sullvn". This dynamic 10-piece band blends retro soul with contemporary pop, featuring a powerful horn section and energetic performances. Known for their unique interpretations of classic hits and harmony-rich originals, "sullvn" promises an evening filled with electrifying tunes and dance-worthy rhythms. Come early to get a good spot and groove to the infectious beats!

The Destroyers

Join us next week for the grand finale of the 2024 Concert at the Cove series with "The Destroyers". While sailors might not be the first to come to mind when you think of rock music, "The Destroyers" will shatter those expectations. As Navy Band Southwest’s premier Popular Music Group, their high-energy and crowd-pleasing sets will have everyone dancing and swaying along. Don't miss this memorable way to finish off the summer!

Solana Beach Bilingual Games Day

The City's Parks & Recreation Department in cooperation with Solana Beach Community Connections (SBCC) invites you and your friends to another exciting Bilingual Games Day on August 8th! This monthly community event is held at La Colonia Community Center every second Thursday of the month from 12:00-2:00 PM. Come enjoy a variety of games, including Lotería, Scrabble, Dominoes, Uno, American Mahjongg, and Corn Hole. Bring along a friend and help spread the word! This event is a monthly series aimed at bringing more fun and get-togethers to everyone in the community.

Beach Blanket Movie Night

As summer comes to an end, and with the start of school on August 12th for many of our kids, we invite you to join us for the annual Beach Blanket Movie Night (BBMN) on Saturday, August 10th, from 6-10 PM. Grab a blanket, pack a picnic, and head on down to Fletcher Cove Park for a fun-filled evening and a movie under the stars! The evening begins with live music by Jackstraws Surf Band, followed by the feature presentation "The Little Mermaid". Plenty of refreshments will be available, along with a prize giveaway featuring big-ticket items and more!
