This month: Pictures from the planting party to restore the gardens on the terrace, and loads of more recent pictures of the gardens in bloom! Announcements about train-trail hikes for this weekend and July 4, and we reveal some special new items at Seventh Sister Souvenirs.
Glorious gardens grace the new terrace!
We had a planting party this month, and the results are already spectacular. The gardens are a bloom with the new plantings.

Some specimen trees were chosen as anchors for the area. There is a pair of redbud trees, which will have lovely spring blooms, and a gorgeous Atlas cedar which will provide winter interest.

The 2023 gardens are going to be better than ever. As you can see in these photos, we have planted in all sorts of beautiful nooks and crannies around the Castle. Many of these areas have been bare for years, and we are totally thrilled to see them joyous and full of life!

We need a watering crew and people who are willing to stop by and do some weeding on a periodic basis. If you love gardens and want to help bring some beauty to Gillette's gardens, drop a line to our garden goddess Caitlin Vickers and let her know you are willing to help (send an email to Caitlin@barefootct.com or click the button below.)
