MESSAGE FROM JIMMY

The Pastor's Bible Study will begin a new series this week on the Book of Isaiah. This prophetic book is often referred to as "the fifth gospel." This is because Christians have a strong tradition of reading this book with an eye for Christ. We learn so much about the true identity of Israel's Messiah by reading Isaiah in light of the gospel message. What is the role of a prophet? What was the call of Isaiah to the people of faith? How is this message still relevant for followers of Jesus today? Join us to grow deeper in knowledge and wisdom as we study the Word of God together.

With the arrival of the month of October, our staff and leadership will be busy preparing for a new year of ministry by casting vision and creating a plan to fund our ministries in 2024. I believe our month of prayer and fasting has positioned us to be open and receptive to where God is leading. I know in my own life I have been learning "to be still and know that he is God...the Lord Almighty is with us" (Psalm 46:10, 11). Sitting in the prayer room with these words has given me a greater experience of the presence of the Lord in this place. I am grateful for His presence. I am encouraged by His presence. I want my life and our church to be a channel of His presence in our daily life. Will you be receptive to God's vision and call to recommit ourselves to the mission of Christ?

See you Sunday!

Jimmy

SUBMIT YOUR REQUEST

Dear Church Family,

I honestly can’t say thank you enough for all the visits, calls, text, food, memorials, flowers, and support during Paul’s illness and death. Not enough words to thank the Martha Ministries Ladies for the wonderful food they provided after the service. This is such a wonderful ministry our church offers in the time of bereavement. I am grateful for your thoughtfulness and thank you for your continued love and support during these days ahead.

Much Love,

Jo Ellen Box
