Have you ever wandered through a cemetery and while admiring an elaborate old headstone became curious as to why the person may have died so young, or what their lives were like? Ron Carlson has become famous for doing just that! His intrigue resulted in the creation of a history channel on YouTube called Faces of the Forgotten. Ron travels to cemeteries around the world from his homes in northern Wisconsin and south-central Arizona. It is in those cemeteries that he traces forgotten history and brings to life the stories of those long gone. Many are amazing tales that have long since been forgotten....until now!
Hearthside is most fortunate to welcome Ron Carlson as a special guest during our annual Gone But Not Forgotten Victorian Mourning exhibit. Join us for a most interesting and engaging presentation by Ron as he tells some of his most fascinating tales discovered during his travels.
This presentation complements Hearthside's exhibit taking place during October, when the topics of death and mourning in the 19th century are featured. Registration for that exhibit that takes place on four dates is separate.
Faces of the Forgotton takes place at the Visitors Center at Chase Farm Park, just down the street from Hearthside. Limited space is available and tickets must be purchased in advance.
