Join the Florida Trail Association, U.S. Forest Service, and North Florida Land Trust on Friday December 1st for this fun, family friendly event along the Florida National Scenic Trail at beautiful Smith Lake Preserve!
We’re celebrating the Grand Opening of the new addition to the Florida Trail through Smith Lake Preserve and recognizing the Florida National Scenic Trail’s 40th Anniversary.
Arrive at the NFLT Stewardship Facility by 1pm to catch a shuttle to the Smith Lake trailhead. The event program will kick off at 2pm with a ribbon-cutting celebration, followed by an optional 2-mile hike along the trail. Shuttles will bring all participants back to the Stewardship Facility by 4pm for light refreshments and socializing.
