BIOGRAPHIES

Lorenzo Leoni Ph.D

Managing Partner, Tiventures


Lorenzo is a serial entrepreneur and founder of biomedical/medtech companies and investment funds in the US and in Europe. He has deep experience and extensive network in venture capital, pharmaceutical and medical devices development, strategic management and entrepreneurship. He currently sits on the Board of Directors of 8 companies in Switzerland and USA. Lorenzo was the founding managing director of the innovation agency of southern Switzerland (Agire) and started Agire Invest (now TiVentures), now TiVentures. He also c0-founded the investment fund VitaTech and Creadd Ventures. Lorenzo holds a Ph.D. in biochemistry from University of Lausanne and was Assistant Professor at the department of Medicine of UCSD, San Diego, working in immunology and oncology.


Jacqueline Ruedin Rüsch

Founding General Partner, Privilège Ventures


Jacqueline is a seasoned entrepreneur and an influential leader with over 20 years of experience. She started her career in the banking sector and founded her first company in 2011. Soon after she started investing in venture capital and became an experienced investor in seed and early-stage venture investing. She recently launched a fund that targets gender balance teams. She strongly believes that more diversity and inclusion are not only good for society but also a very rewarding investment case. As a passionate public speaker, she captivates audiences with her empathic style, engaging with participants on the topic. She serves on several boards as a member or as the chairperson. She believes that giving back and caring is the only way to move things forward.


Paola Bissoli

Director of Business Development, abrdn


Paola is Director of Business Development, EMEA and is based in our Zurich Office. She joined abrdn in 2015 from Saint George Capital Management (Unipol-SAI Insurance Group) where she held the position of CEO and Investment Manager since 2008. Prior to that, Paola was a Hedge Fund Manager. Paola is passionate about financial education and is Zurich Chapter head for the CAIA Association since 2017. From 2013 to 2018, she was a Director of 100 Women in Finance Ltd, the London board of the Association. Paola holds a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from Politecnico di Torino (1998) and a Certificate in Advanced Studies in Sustainable Finance from University of Zurich (2022).
