The Glades Initiative's Food Pantry is available to anyone in need. Residents may come in once per week at any time during the hours listed below. In a “Pantry of Choice”, you choose the foods that you want and need (within guidelines).


Required to participate:

• Valid ID or your Glades Initiative Food Pantry ID

• ONE time per week


WHEN: Tuesdays and Wednesdays

  • 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. (Tuesday)
  • 8:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. & 2:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. (Wednesday)

Auditions for Princess and the Pea at the Dolly Hand


Auditions will be held for the Missoula Children's Theatre (MCT) production of THE

PRINCESS AND THE PEA on Monday, September 11th at the Dolly Hand Cultural Arts Center from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Those auditioning should arrive at 3:30 PM to pre-register and should plan to stay for the full two hours. Some of the cast members will be asked to stay for a rehearsal immediately following the audition.

An interactive tool using Google Maps to help people easily locate free food and hot meals in Palm Beach County. This online tool was created to connect individuals seeking food resources to sites near them. Information is English, Spanish, and Creole. United Way updates the information listed on this map weekly. However, locations and hours of distribution may change. Please consider calling the site prior to visiting to verify the information listed. Please note that sites may have specific requirements such as ID.

Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies September 2023 Educational Calendar

PEPPI Headstart is Enrolling


PEPPI Head Start is now enrolling students. If you have a 3- to 5-year-old and want them to have a place for them to go for the summer, PEPPI Head Start offers year-round services to children and families within the community. Your child will be fully engaged through play, fun learning, singing, dancing, and socializing with other students. This program is totally free to you as a parent.

Jewish Family Service of PBC Mental Health First Aid


Alpert Jewish Family Service is a nationally recognized leader providing services supporting seniors, adults, children, and their families. Mental Health First Aid is a course that gives people the skills to help someone who is developing a mental health challenge or experiencing a mental health crisis. The evidence behind the program demonstrates that it does build mental health literacy, helping the public identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use.

If you or people you know need masks, The Glades Initiative has masks and will share them with anyone in the Glades who needs them. Call or come by to pick them up as long as supplies last.
