Hello Administrators,
As usual, the fall season is packed with activities at ARI, including our two-day online scientific meeting, live educational webinars, and the selection and announcement of ARI's 2023 research grant recipients. We are grateful to our Scientific Advisory Board members for assisting with the review and approval process for this important work. We look forward to learning about the findings from these promising new investigations in the years to come.
We hit the ground running this month, co-sponsoring a think tank on autism, intellectual disability, and aging in Vancouver, BC, the first weekend of November. This meeting convened autistic seniors, clinicians, researchers, and caregivers to build on previous work to advance priorities related to the quality of life and health of older adults with autism and intellectual disabilities. ARI board member Dr. Wenn Lawson was the featured keynote speaker. Proceedings from the conference are expected in early 2024.
As the holiday season approaches, we know you will be hearing from many deserving organizations in the coming weeks. If you plan to give, thank you for believing in the importance of autism research and education and keeping ARI in mind.

2023 ARI Research Grants Announced | | |

In 2023, ARI awarded more than $400,000 in grants to fund innovative research that holds realistic promise for impacting the lives of autistic people. In order to provide the autism community with an independent, unbiased assessment of causal and treatment efficacy issues, ARI does not accept financial support from government agencies or drug manufacturers. | |
