TWENTY-FIFTH SUNDAY AFTER PENTECOST
WORSHIP WITH HOLY COMMUNION
SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 19 10:00 A.M.
Dear friends,
Please come to worship at Saint Andrew's as we celebrate the Twenty-Fifth Sunday after Pentecost at 10:00 a.m., in person and online via YouTube. We would love for you to join us!
Saint Andrew's offers worship services in person and online, trusting in the Holy Spirit that unites us whether we are in the same place. Sunday worship is livestreamed via the link below, which also connects to the recorded service for those unable to attend on Sunday morning.
Links to online worship and worship materials are available in our weekly worship and newsletter emails, on our website at http://www.standrewsofsmithtown.org and on our Facebook page, St. Andrew's Lutheran Church of Smithtown.
Presiding and preaching this Sunday:
The Rev. Gary Schulz

THANKSGIVING SERVICES
Thanksgiving Eve: St. Andrew's is invited to the 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 22nd Thanksgiving Eve service of Holy Communion in the sanctuary at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Port Jefferson Station.
We will do a Blessing of Bread during the Thanksgiving Eve service - families are invited to place a loaf of bread that they will be taking to their own Thanksgiving meal the next day onto a table by the altar where they will be blessed (not consecrated for Communion) and sent back home with the bringer after worship. It is a way of bringing church, after saying a communal grace, back to our homes.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Thanksgiving Day: Worship Service will be at St Thomas of Canterbury, Smithtown at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 23, 2023.
Communion at Saint Andrew's
We celebrate the Lord's Supper from the altar.
The Pastor places an individual wafer into the communicant's hand and the worship assistant offers a pre-filled single-use communion cup of wine.
Communion is continuous; please follow the ushers' guidance on when to come forward.
After receiving communion kindly drop the recyclable communion cups into the bowl offered by the usher.
- You may take either the bread, or the wine, or both elements
- If you prefer a pre-packaged communion set, please let the ushers know when you come into worship
- Those not communing are invited to receive a blessing
