A reminder that per the Virtual Sanction Playbook, virtual sanctions were allowed for mobility and qualification during COVID, but specifically the 2020-2021 season. While the occurrence of virtual sanctions did die down once everyone was able to start getting back in the gym, some locations still used it (and continue to use it) last year and going into this year. However, the Development Program committee decided in November of last year that effective January 1, 2023, only “LIVE” sanctioned competitions could count for mobility.

Region 8 Committee Members were recognized for their service at National Congress. I know we all apprecaite the countless hours that they spend in dedication to our sport and our athletes but if you see them please tell them thank you or take a minute to drop them a line!

Mike Holdefer was recognized for five years of service.

Toni Rand received a 35 year service award.

Deb Kornegay was honored with the National Service Award for her 47 years of dedication to USA Gymnastics and Region 8!
