YOUNG ADULT MEALS

All young adults are welcome to join us twice a month for a meal in the Open Area! On the 1st Sundays, we'll meet for lunch after the 11am service (at 12:45pm). On the 3rd Sundays, we'll meet for breakfast before the 9am service (at 8:15am). This Sunday, September 17, we'll have breakfast! Please sign up here if you plan to attend in order to help us as we prepare, and reach out to Pastor Brie with questions!

FALL COMFORTER DAY

If you can tie a knot, you can help make comforters for refugees! We'll gather on Saturday, October 28 in the Open Area from 9am to 3pm for cutting, tying, and sewing comforters - no experience needed! If you sew - great! We will put you to work! If you don't sew, we'll still put you to work! Friends and family are welcome! This could also be a great opportunity to earn service hours.

What to bring:

  • Scissors (marked with your name)
  • Your sewing machine (if you have one and if you will sew bindings)
  • Any comforter tops you've sewn together (bundles of squares to be sewn below mailboxes in the lobby)
  • Your water or drink in spill-proof containers.
  • Your lunch if you plan to stay all day

Completed comforters will be donated to the refugee relief efforts of Mennonite Central Committee (MCC). For more information, contact Kim Mumper at tassier59@gmail.com or 717-497-3031.

BAPTISM

At HBIC, we believe baptism is a celebration of your decision to follow Jesus as your Lord and Savior. As your church family, we would like to stand with you as you publicly declare you have made the decision to surrender your life to the Lord!

Are you interested in being baptized this fall? If so, we'd love to connect with you! Fill out this form or sign up at the info desks in the Sanctuary to help us in our planning. A mandatory class will be held in October (date TBD). We will celebrate baptisms as a church family on Sunday morning, October 22.

If you have questions about baptism at HBIC or in general, check out this BIC resource and feel free to email Pastor Hank or connect with any of the pastors on staff.
