The Kerry O'Brien Short Course Meters Championship is this Fri-Sun! There are a few virtual swims to help you get in those last-minute laps: the USMS 3000/6000 Champs and the 1-mile Fall Fitness Challenge.



The next Update will appear on October 16, 2023. The deadline for submissions is Wednesday, October 11, 2023

One-mile swim benefitting Adult Learn-to-Swim programs, sponsored by the USA Swimming Foundation. Information


2023 Pacific Masters Annual Celebration and Meeting, November 12

This will be an in-person gathering, to be held at the Miwok Aquatic and Fitness Center at Indian Valley College in Novato. Watch for more details as they become available.


USMS 3000/6000 Virtual Champs, Through November 15

Swim a continuous 3000 or 6000 in either a yards or meters pool. You must register before swimming the event. Information


15th Annual Ross Yancher Brute Squad Virtual Swim, November 1-30

It's Brute Squad season brought to you by Davis Aquatic Masters. Tackle the Brute Squad by swimming a 200 Fly + 400 IM + 1650 Free or the Brute Squad Lite by swimming a 100 Fly + 200 IM + 500 Free. Information. Registration opens November 1st.

Kerry O'Brien Short Course Meters Championship

October 6-8, 2023, Walnut Creek


Get ready for the last Pacific Masters Championship of 2023, the Kerry O'Brien Short Course Meters Championship. We've reached a record number of participants! Registration is closed. Information


Positive check-in is required for 200m and higher events. For the 200m, check-ins must be in person. If you are swimming the 400-1500m Freestyle and the 400 IM, check-ins can be done online.


This year, we are lucky to have two meet T-shirts, illustrated by Kerry, and available for purchase at the meet.

Pacific Masters Annual Celebration and Meeting, November 12

 

The Pacific Masters Swimming Annual Celebration and Meeting will return to an in-person gathering this year. The Celebration will be held at the Miwok Aquatic and Fitness Center at Indian Valley College in Novato.



Meet our speakers:

 

Nick Thoman is a gold and silver medalist from the 2012 London Olympics with an inspiring swimming journey. Nick will also conduct the swim clinics.

  

Tucker DuPree is a Paralympic medalist who swims with 80% vision loss. 

 

Plan on a full day of engaging activities and presentations, including a swim workout, swim clinics, and conversations with swimming luminaries. We will also have a catered lunch, our business meeting and awards presentation.

Election for Pacific Masters Officers

At the Annual Celebration and Meeting, November 12


This year, we will hold the bi-annual Pacific Masters officer elections at our November 12 Pacific Masters Annual Celebration and Meeting. Following are the 2023 elections slate of nominees:

  • VP OW – Rebecca Friedlander
  • VP Clubs & Coaches – Shari Cruse
  • Secretary – Sally Guthrie

We will vote to accept this slate unless a floor nominee is submitted before our November 12 meeting. Please check the Administrative Handbook for guidelines on submitting floor nominees and contact our Chair, Phyllis Quinn, as soon as possible.
