Dedicated PE teachers in FVSD play a crucial role in fostering a lifelong love for physical activity beginning in elementary school. They create fun and inclusive exercise routines that promote both physical fitness and social development. We loved seeing so many FVSD students and staff for the 5K and Color Fun Run on Saturday morning! Races were held through the beautiful Fountain Valley Sports Park and the scenic Mile Square Regional Park. Congratulations to all who participated!

Last week, we enjoyed Back to School Night at our middle school sites. Our teachers and staff welcomed families and shared their excitement for the year ahead. Events were well attended! Thank you, FVSD families, for prioritizing this important night. We look forward to a great year!

To foster teaching excellence, the Cotsen Foundation for the ART of TEACHING offers two-year fellowships to groups of educators at selected schools. Cox and Tamura have been chosen to participate in the 2023-25 cohort. Being chosen as a Cotsen Fellow is an incredible honor, and we are so proud of these educators!

FVSD Central Office staff hosted the first of many Bilingual Aide Support Staff meetings for the year. They made it fun while discussing data and statistics about our 659 EL learners, current language proficiency levels, languages represented in our community, and more. We value and appreciate FVSD Bilingual Aides for the integral role they play in our Multi-lingual Program.

FVSD has an Anonymous Reporting tip line. There is a dedicated phone line for FVSD which is manned 24/7. You can call or text the phone number or use the QR code or the link on each school site's webpage to file a report. These tips are sent to the appropriate people to help ensure the safety of our students.
