WEATHER CLOSURES

As we head into the winter season, please be aware that in the event of inclement weather, Trinity School closures will be posted on WSBT-TV, WNDU-TV, and ABC-57. Please keep in mind that Trinity School closures do not always align with the decisions of the South Bend Community School Corporation. 

Both WSBT and WNDU offer school-specific text alerts for closures. You can sign up to receive a text alert for Trinity School by using the forms on their websites.

UPCOMING VOLUNTEER NEEDS

Please consider signing up to fill one or more of the following volunteer needs in November and December:

November 11—Mosaic clean-up (6 more)

December 7—Pizza Lunch set-up (2 more)

December 16—Winter Concert clean-up (2 more)

December 19—Winter Art Show (3 for set up; 3 for clean up)

We also need additional volunteers to provide lunch to faculty during evaluation conferences in January and June.

LECTURE & PERFORMANCE SERIES

We are looking forward to hosting the South Bend Symphony Quintet on campus during the school day on Thursday, November 9. This performance is part of the Lecture & Performance Series.

BOARD OF TRUSTEES PARENT MEETING

Members of the Trinity School board of trustees will host an open parent meeting from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 9. The meeting will be followed by social time.

MOCK TRIAL

Mock Trial season for the 2023-2024 school year is beginning to take shape. Here is a general overview of this year's team coaches and important dates.

Freshman Team Coaches: Andrew Shaffer, Sophie Miller, and Danny O'Callaghan

Sophomore Team Coach: Mike Palmer, et al.

Junior/Senior Team Coaches: John Drake and Nick Lebbin

The important dates for the season an also be found here, on the Indiana Bar Foundation website. If your child participates in Mock Trial, you will receive regular updates and information about practice schedules and competitions from his or her team coach throughout the season. Mr. Dennis Staffelbach is the faculty sponsor for Mock Trial. If you have general questions about Mock Trial, please email him at [email protected]. Joanie Shaffer will also be assisting in an administrative capacity and will be contacting Mock Trial parents as well.

HARVEST PARTY

The Harvest party for grades 9-12 will be held at the People of Praise Center on Friday, November 10, from 8:00 to 10:30 p.m. Parents of high school students will receive an invitation with more details.

MOSAIC

We hope you'll join us in the Greenlawn Auditorium and Mansion on Saturday, November 11, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., for this year's Mosaic.

This event is an opportunity to celebrate the many individuals who serve and support the mission of Trinity School at Greenlawn. All friends of Trinity School are invited. Whether you are a graduate from the class of 1999, a donor, a volunteer coach, an alumni parent, or a parent of a newly enrolled student, we look forward to seeing you there.

This year's informal gathering will be filled with fellowship, food, and drink. A small portion of the evening will include information about SGO scholarship funding and its importance in the lives of our students.

UPCOMING VISIT OPPORTUNITIES

Trinity is hosting three Visit Days for prospective students in November and December. Visiting in person is the best way for prospective students to learn more about Trinity. Please share this opportunity with interested friends and family.

MEADOW VIEW ANNIVERSARY CONCERT

This November, fourteen Greenlawn students who are in Chamber Choir will travel to the DC area to perform at Trinity School at Meadow View's 25th Anniversary Concert. They will sing alongside students from all three Trinity Schools. The concert will showcase an original composition entitled Requiem for a Warrior, by Timothy Dusenbury. You can learn more about the composition here.

This event will take place on Saturday, November 18, at 7:00 p.m. at the Rachel M. Schlesinger Concert Hall and Arts Center on the Northern Virginia Community College, Alexandria Campus.

THANKSGIVING BREAK—

NO STUDY HALL

There will be no school from Wednesday, November 22 to Friday, November 24, for Thanksgiving Break. Please note that there will be no Study Hall on the afternoon of Tuesday, November 21.
