December 2023 Newsletter

Letter from Executive Director

I can hardly believe 2024 is around the corner! While we have so much to celebrate and be grateful for in 2023, I am learning to also hold space for the hardships and losses we face.

Since launching the Powered by Comunidad campaign with tours of Las Bodegas, we have raised $33,136! Of these, 49 are monthly donors who will collectively contribute an additional $13,872 over a year.

This is the power of comunidad! Together, we are overcoming and imagining a future where we are all worthy of creativity and care. There is still time to help us reach our $50,000 goal by the end-of-the-year!

Wishing you and your loved ones Felices Fiestas!

¡ Nos Vemos en 2024 !

Un abrazo - Alfredo

Honoring World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims with Our City Partners

In collaboration with the Denver Office of Transportation and Infrastructure (DOTI) & Denver Streets Partnership, we paid tribute on World Day of Remembrance to Road Traffic Victims. The Ofrenda aimed to raise awareness about the devastating impact of road accidents and remember those who have lost their lives on Denver roads, who are Disproportionately people of color.

As part of this commemoration, we created a heartfelt Ofrenda honoring 400 victims, which was displayed at the City and County Building of Denver. A special thank you Councilwoman Alvidrez for supporting the setup.
